Application Project Manager

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Application Project Manager to manage a portfolio of application development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while managing project resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of application projects in accordance with established project governance and delivery standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage project resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and delivery plans.
• Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and communication plans to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet agreed scope and quality standards.
• Define project team roles, responsibilities, and resource requirements.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
• Plan and manage deployment, transition, and handover to production support teams.
• Conduct training for business users and IT teams where required.
• Develop operational support and transition plans.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with quality standards, including CMMI requirements.
• Produce technical and project documentation to support implementation and operational readiness.
• Prepare project progress reports and other management reports.
• Monitor project outcomes to ensure business benefits are realized and escalate risks where necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the division.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• PRINCE2 and/or PMP certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience managing application development or software implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and business processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001.
• Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools, including PRINCE2, PMI, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
• Ability to balance strategic objectives while effectively managing project details.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
