Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Key Account Manager to join our esteemed team at Kian. Your mission will be to manage and grow assigned accounts and brands regionally or globally by delivering timely, effective client support while coordinating with internal teams and Kian ecosystem partners to drive business growth and achieve annual sales targets.
Your role would serve as the focal point for all brand-related enquiries and support the Senior Sales Manager / Sales Director of the IB team in achieving annual targets and delivering year-on-year business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account and Brand Ownership:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned brands and accounts.
- Manage day-to-day client communication and ensure timely responses to enquiries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and ecosystem partners.
- Product and Pricing Development:
- Understand market and client requirements and translate them into product solutions.
- Work closely with R&D to develop product costing and determine competitive pricing.
- Ensure pricing proposals align with company targets and market expectations.
- New Product and Decor Development:
- Lead and coordinate the development of new products and decor for assigned brands.
- Manage project timelines and collaborate with R&D and internal teams to ensure successful execution.
- Ensure product developments meet brand standards and client expectations.
- Sales Tools and Information Management
- Maintain and update sales tools for assigned brands, including catalogues, price lists, CAD blocks, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all relevant sales materials are properly organized and accessible in MS Teams for internal teams and ecosystem partners.
- Cross- Functional Coordinator:
- Work closely with R&D, Sales Process Team, and ecosystem partners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and clients to resolve issues efficiently.
- Business Growth Support:
- Support Senior Sales Manager / Sales Director in achieving annual sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to grow business within assigned brands and support ecosystem partners in expanding regional business.
Requirements:
- Experience & Industry Exposure (Primary Consideration)
- 3–6 years of relevant working experience in key account management, sales support, product development coordination, or project management.
- Experience working with regional or international clients is an advantage.
- Experience in furniture, fit-out, retail, QSR, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exposure to QSR, retail, hospitality, or multi-site brand development projects is beneficial.
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
- Candidates from other disciplines may be considered if they have relevant working experience.
- Commercial & Analytical Capability
- Ability to understand market and client requirements and translate them into product solutions.
- Capable of working with R&D to develop product costing and establish competitive selling prices.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance client needs and company profitability.
- Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external clients.
- Proficient in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is preferred to effectively communicate with internal teams in China
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Able to respond to client and Kian ecosystem partners enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Comfortable acting as the focal point for brand-related communications and coordination.
- Project Coordination & Organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including new product or decor development.
- Strong organizational skills to track development timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
- Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams such as R&D and Sales Process teams.
- Digital & Documentation Management
- Competent in maintaining and organizing sales tools and documentation including:
- Product catalogues
- Price lists
- CAD blocks
- Technical references
- Familiar with using collaboration platforms such as MS Teams for document sharing and communication.
