Job Purpose:
He/she will be responsible for performing and certifying helicopter maintenance tasks, attend to various helicopter checks, perform inspection, troubleshooting and repair work on helicopter. He/she will also need to sign-off task performed and ensure the work comply with airworthy release.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections on a variety of helicopter types (as per license limitations).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot helicopter malfunctions using technical manuals and diagnostic procedures.
- Repair and replace helicopter components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including paperwork and its associated document.
- Participate in airworthiness inspections and ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel as part of a team.
- Ensure a conducive working environment by practicing good housekeeping and proper usage of tools, equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for compliance of safety requirement in relation to the task performed.
- To practice a good work attitude and leadership qualities at all time.
- To take self-initiate to acquire relevant knowledge to enrich and help improve work performance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest helicopter maintenance technologies, regulations, and safety procedures.
- May be required to provide technical support both domestically and internationally.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a valid CAAM Part-66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License or EASA license, which is able be validated by CAA Malaysia.
- Type-rated on any Leonardo Helicopter fleet (EASA 147 type training, both theoretical and practical, is highly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of helicopter maintenance experiences, including 2 years of certifying experience on any Leonardo Helicopter fleet.
- Comprehensive knowledge of type-rated helicopter systems and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS).
- Strong understanding of helicopter systems and components.
- Excellent avionics aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals and documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality of work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the job.
