Description
An intern 3D Animator is responsible for assisting the animation team to bring life to the characters,
creatures, animals, and objects to meet the high-quality requirement in TV and Games.
An intern 3D Animator needs to have basic knowledge of animation principles of body movement,
anticipation, weight, follow-through, squash and stretch, deformation, and animation setup.
Job Responsibilities:
● Able to create decent quality animations on creatures, animals, and objects for team lead/
supervisor’s approval on a daily basis.
● Able to create expressive character animation portraying a wide range of emotions.
● Work closely with teammates and team lead to maintain animation quality and consistency,
while meeting project requirements and client’s expectations.
● Assist the animation team in any way possible.
● Understand the story of each shot in a project and be able to give input to achieve high quality
of animation that best expresses the story.
● Able to meet the project requirements.
● Effectively communicate issues regarding their shots and seek advice from seniors and team
lead.
● Actively seek information to get a clear understanding upon receiving feedback from the
seniors and team lead.
Job Requirements:
● 1 to 2 years of attendance in animation related school or education.
● Basic knowledge in Maya, and other proprietary animation tools.
● Good knowledge of animation principles like body movement, anticipation, weight,
follow-through, squash and stretch.
● Good knowledge of animation setup like IK, FK, deformation and blendshape.
● Strong foundation of human anatomy, body languages, acting, storytelling, and
cinematography.
● Demonstrate a good sense of posing, timing, and weight.
● Good communication skills, able to take direction positively.
● Ability to work in a team with no conflicts.
● Eager to learn and willing to accept new opportunities and challenges.
