We are seeking to fill the role of a suitably qualified Information Technology & Fuel Management Systems Specialist within based at our Rabaul Engineering Department to lead a small team of IT and Fluid Management System technicians. The role is critical for the growth of our retail and customer business, and we are looking for a mature and proactive individual who is a self-starter, excellent communicator and able to lead others to accomplish set company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Technical Manager, the main responsibilities include:
- Provide Local and Remote Support with IT/FMS installations and troubleshooting faults.
- Liaise with Engineers, Depot Managers, and 3rd party suppliers on capital and operational equipment requirements.
- Develop IT &FMS Installation, Maintenance and Operation SOPs
- Train and Develop/Upskill IT and FMS Technicians
- Well verse with service stations automation: selection of forecourt equipment (dispensers, ATG systems and probes, price boards, terminals, choice of payment form, POS systems, mobile applications, others) and software suiting to customer needs.
- Installation, connection and configuration of dispensers, tank measurement consoles and probes, price boards, management systems (POS, OPT, consoles), payment terminals, receipt and report printers, barcode scanners, server solutions (loyalty systems, discount systems, bonus systems, analytics), others.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or commercial computing. Other relevant engineering degrees may be considered on merit.
- 2-5 years’ experience in O&G Downstream retail- Networking, Hardware and Software or Similar industry.
- Evidence/Experience in managing teams of 5 or more people.
