Job Objectives
- Safety Supervisor oversees safety protocols, risk assessments, training, compliance monitoring, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness in offshore environments. Their objectives include ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to industry standards, and minimizing risks.
- Additionally, they plan, organize, and execute missions while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Implementing HSE Standards:
- Provide site leadership and coordination with site safety supervisors to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Align work and procedures with the client’s HSE management system (HSEMS) and Golden Rules.
Detailed Planning and Guidance:
- Collaborate with the HSE Manager to incorporate HSE into all project activities.
- Develop safety training plans for contractors, ensuring their competence in safety roles (e.g., vessel entry standby, firewatch).
Incident Management and Investigation:
- Participate in incident investigations.
- Support project execution and HSE plans.
Compliance and Risk Awareness:
- Monitor compliance with HSE procedures, permits, and risk mitigation.
- Foster a safety-conscious culture among personnel.
- Address deviations from the daily plan promptly.
Technical Knowledge and Training:
- Familiarity with Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
- Ensure proper safety practices during tasks like confined space entry, hydrocarbon containment, and grit blasting.
- Train personnel in breathing apparatus (BA) and escape set use.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain incident reports and safety-related documentation.

(PSEP) through its subsidiaries INPEX Malaysia E&P 4E Sdn. Bhd. and INPEX Malaysia E&P SK418 Sdn. Bhd. The PSCs cover Block 4E and Block SK418, offshore hydrocarbon exploration licenses located northeast of Sarawak in Malaysia that were recently awarded to INPEX following PETRONAS’ Malaysia Bid Round 2022.
