Position Title: Geology Senior Executive

Objectives of the Organization

1. Accomplish exploration activity in Deepwater Block 4E, with due consideration for HSE, by proper management and timely execution of the project as the operator in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
2. Accomplish exploration activity in Block SK418 by proper management and timely execution of the project in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
3. Achieve early growths of Malaysia business as one of core areas of INPEX Group, (i) actively seek for new business opportunity, (ii) enhance the capability and competency of people in the KL Office, and (iii) expand the organization in line with the progress of the projects.
4. Contribute to business operation and development aimed at early development and realization of production and establishment of low-carbon business in Malaysia.

Job Objectives

• Taking major role in geological data management, Well log data QC, and geological and geophysical data interpretation of Block 4E and Block SK418.
• Taking major role in regional geology and reservoir development studies and prospect maturation works of Block 4E.
• Guide and supervise the Geology Executive

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support deputy exploration manager and chief geology to establish efficient exploration database by arranging and managing well and geological data, aligning with IT and Data Management Sr. Executive.
• Petrophysical QC of existing wells in and around Block 4E and SK418
• Conduct post-mortem analysis of existing wells in and around Block 4E and SK418. Review and update resource assessment of discovered fields in Block 4E.
• Lead regional geology and reservoir development studies, cooperating with technical service companies and technical specialists from INPEX HQ.
• Conduct geological and geophysical data interpretation and prospect evaluation in Block 4E and Block SK418, incorporating all G&G data.
• Cooperate with Exploration and Operations team to produce exploration drilling plan in line with exploration objectives
• Support deputy exploration manager and chief geologist to conduct G&G, well proposal, and post-well studies, cooperating with the operation geology team.
• Support G&G evaluation for new venture opportunities.
• Provide necessary training to OJT trainees from Petronas or Tokyo.
