JOB SUMMARY
Key responsibilities include building credible scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, delivering accurate and balanced scientific exchange, supporting medical and clinical initiatives, generating actionable field insights, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical and pharmacovigilance standards, collaborating cross-functionally, and maintaining up-to-date scientific knowledge.
MSLs bridge unmet medical needs between the scientific community and EP Plus Group, contributing to the strategic planning and execution of Medical Affairs objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Medical & Scientific Engagement with KOLs
- Conduct high-quality peer-to-peer scientific exchange with KOLs and relevant healthcare professionals
- Build and maintain deep, up-to-date medical and scientific expertise for the assigned products and therapeutic areas
- Lead Medical Advisory Boards by defining strategic scientific objectives, driving high-quality scientific dialogue, translating insights into actionable medical strategies and communicating outcomes to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Capture, analyse and communicate medical insights from the field to internal stakeholders to inform medical strategy and evidence generation plans
Ensure Compliance of Ethical Promotions
- Review promotional materials for compliance with local regulations, industry codes (PhAMA Code) and internal guidelines
- Ensure compliance during marketing activities in line with EPPG and principals’ Codes of Conduct
- Validate KOL eligibility for CME sponsorships in accordance with compliance and transparency requirements
- Ensure timely reporting and management of adverse events, product complaints and safety information in accordance with pharmacovigilance requirements
Provide Medical & Scientific Related Services
- Respond to medical information enquiries with timely, accurate and balanced scientific information
- Develop medical training modules and conduct ongoing medical and scientific training for Sales, Marketing and other internal teams
- Develop scientific narratives, medical slide decks and backgrounders to support commercial and non-commercial teams
- Perform critical review of scientific/ clinical papers & presentation of such information to internal or external parties if needed
- Participate in medical congresses and scientific meetings to monitor emerging data, compliance trends and standards of care
- Support real-world evidence initiatives, investigator-initiated studies (IIS), medical education programmes and clinical research activities where applicable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Therapeutic Area Expertise: In-depth understanding of the specific therapeutic area relevant to the company's products. Comprehensive knowledge of disease states, treatment modalities, and current medical practices.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with the company's portfolio, including a deep understanding of product indications, mechanisms of action, and clinical trial data.
- Medical and Scientific Literature: Stay abreast of current medical and scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and emerging research trends within the therapeutic area.
- Regulatory Landscape: Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines governing the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring compliance in all activities.
Skills
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix and cross-functional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex data into clear scientific messages
- Confident public speaker with proven presentation and facilitation skills in both group and one-to-one settings
- Proactive, detail-oriented and highly organised, with strong time-management and prioritisation skills
- Strategic thinking ability with experience translating field insights into actionable medical strategies
- Good medical/clinical knowledge and understanding analytics techniques is desirable.
Experience
- PhD, Medical Degree or Bachelor/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline
- Preferably minimum 3 years experienced Medical Scientific Liaison or experienced in pharmaceutical industry.
- Candidates with strong scientific credentials and a clear motivation to develop a career in Medical Affairs/MSL roles will be considered
