JOB SUMMARY

Analyze, develop and implement marketing strategies & executional plans to maximize the return of investment.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Develop a brand plan for assigned products/brands aimed at increasing market share, achieving sustainable growth, maximizing return on investment (ROI), and meeting business objectives and financial targets.
  2. Implement identified marketing strategies to ensure they are translated into workable plan and aligned with set marketing brand and strategy.
  3. Manage and control the overall brand expenses to ensure optimizing resources and achieving set business objectives.
  4. Track, monitor and document implemented marketing activities (developed against specific set of quantified targets) and outcomes to ensure they are aligned with the business objectives.
  5. Carry out marketing post-mortem exercises and propose appropriate mitigation plan in a manner that will achieve desired business objectives.
  6. Develop a marketing communication and advertising plan for assigned brands, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy and support for business objectives, while adhering to local regulations.
  7. Support Marketing Manager to guide and monitor the junior marketer(s) to deliver assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  8. Conduct joint visits with the sales team to customers to gain market insights and assess the effectiveness of deployed marketing collateral, messaging, and campaigns.

KEY CHALLENGES

  1. Ensuring consumer/ target audience has a positive experience with the products.
  2. Optimized allocated funds to consistently innovate. Thus, there is a need to select projects that could generate more value.
  3. Project management skills to ensure effective monitoring of timeline and deliverables.
  4. Keeping a good balance between strategic thinking and flawless execution in achieving business objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in related Science is required

Skills

  1. Sound knowledge and understanding of product management and marketing skills
  2. Strong commercial and business acumen, coupled with the ability to understand and strategically apply technical and scientific information.
  3. Strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively and critically, as well as look beyond the obvious when developing solutions.
  4. Ability to deliver timely results in the management of multiple complex tasks and/or projects.
  5. Ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks according to the business dynamics.
  6. Dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers, customer-centric.
  7. Possess good communication skills in both written and verbal (presentation skills).
  8. Ability to work independently and function within a team.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience, with at least 2 years in product management and marketing-related experience in the Pharmaceutical industry,or Nutraceuticals.
  • Experience in preparing and executing marketing plans.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales would be an added advantage.
  • People coaching or management experience would be an added advantage.
