JOB SUMMARY
- Lead and manage the assigned Sales team to effectively perform and meet the Company’s sales expectations and target.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Sales Plan & Execution
- Assist in the establishment of targets and opportunities to expand the Company’s business and clientele base in Ministry of Health (MOH) and private sectors.
- Assist in the development and execution of the Company’s sales plan covering sales, revenue, expense controls, targets, competitive activities, market trends and historical data to expand the Company’s business.
- Conduct market and competitor research to ensure that the Company stays updated on the pharmaceutical industry and able to make informed business decisions.
- Conduct sales action meetings, creative role plays and participate in marketing dialogues to generate and provide sales insights.
- Align sales activities with marketing plan to ensure that the Company’s sales effort is aligned with the business direction.
- Build effective working partnerships with supporting departments and external stakeholders to increase the Company’s sales effectiveness.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure that the Company has a strong clientele base.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with Key Opinion Leaders to ensure that the Company expand its clientele base.
Leadership & Talent Management
- Assist in the planning, recruitment, direction, organization and control of the Product Consultants to accomplish the Company’s target and business outcome.
- Coach, train and develop Product Consultants to the best of their potential to enhance the Company’s talent pool.
- Conduct weekly work preview and performance review in a timely manner with the Product Consultants to ensure that performance is aligned with the Company’s business objectives.
- Collaborate with HR to identify suitable talents to join the Sales team to accomplish the Company’s business efforts.
Compliance with Code of Conduct
- Lead and monitor the Product Consultants by example to strictly adhere to the Company’s business integrity, policies and Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia’s code of conduct.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Bachelor or Post-graduate degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Science or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the medical semantics, products and practices.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels.
- Capable leader who is able to build and guide the Sales team.
- Persuasive manner and the ability to deal with professionals who hold differing beliefs and values.
- Ability to work independently and produce results.
- Business awareness and analytical skills.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Strong sense of rightfulness.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in dealing with the healthcare professionals.
- Experience in the medical industry and managing a team of sales talent will be greatly beneficial.
