JOB SUMMARY
- As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities, executing market access strategies, product exportation of home brands, leading medical marketing initiatives, and overseeing the critical aspect of product sourcing in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, with plans for expansion to more ASEAN countries in the future.
- You will collaborate closely with internal teams, key stakeholders, and external partners to drive business growth, enhance market presence, optimize product access, and ensure efficient and strategic product sourcing.
- This highly coveted role requires you to have a strong background in business development and market access within the healthcare industry, coupled with excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Development:
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to foster growth and expansion.
Product Sourcing:
- Oversee product sourcing activities, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Identify and Evaluate Business Opportunities including exportation of home brands to Southeast Asia countries:
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential partnerships to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and external principal partners to enhance the company's market presence and drive revenue growth.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Lead negotiations and finalize agreements with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
Market Access Strategy:
- Develop and execute market access strategies for the company’s product portfolio, encompassing pricing, reimbursement, and health economic analyses.
Pricing Strategy:
- Implement effective pricing strategies for healthcare products, considering market dynamics, competitor pricing, commercial contract models and reimbursement requirements.
Medical Marketing:
- Devise and implement medical marketing strategies to promote healthcare products, collaborating with medical professionals, key opinion leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Commercial units to build marketing and sales scientific engagement competencies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs, to ensure seamless execution of business development, market access, and medical marketing strategies.
Market Research:
- Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Health Economic Analysis:
- Conduct health economic assessments and demonstrate the value proposition of healthcare products to payers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Possess at least a Degree in Science/Pharmacy or equivalent.
Skills
- Good business acumen: possess business knowledge and able to consider all actions and decisions in a business context.
- Ability to communicate with external business partners on issues related to business development.
- Possess a sound knowledge and understanding of diseases.
- Strong analytical skills.
Experience
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of sales and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must.
- Experience in product marketing is preferred.
