JOB SUMMARY
- The role of Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) involves being a scientific ambassador for EP Plus Group.
- Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, providing in-depth scientific information/data, supporting clinical initiatives, gathering field insights, serving as a scientific advisor, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, collaborating cross-functionally, and staying updated on the latest scientific developments.
- MSLs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between EP Plus Group and the scientific community, contributing to the overall success of medical affairs strategies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Medical & Scientific engagements with KOLs
- Engage in scientific discussions with key opinion leader networks.
- Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic areas.
- Assist & participate in organizing internal medical advisory boards and participate in external advisory board meetings.
- Develop KOLs/Trainers’ pathways.
Ensure Compliance of Ethical Promotions
- Review promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines, and claims are accurate with scientific merit and validity.
- Ensure compliance in marketing workshops based on EPPG & principal’s business code of conduct.
- To validate eligible KOLs on their Continuing Medical Education (CME) for sponsorships to conferences and symposiums.
Provide Medical & Scientific Related Services
- Provide appropriate response (communication) to medical information queries from internal/external customers, health authorities, etc.
- Develop medical training module and conduct medical & scientific training for the Sales and Marketing team.
- Develop any medical & scientific related information needed for the Commercial team.
- Perform critical review of scientific/clinical papers & present such information to internal or external parties if needed.
- Participation in medical & scientific congresses, symposiums, and conferences, to understand medical, compliance & promotional aspects of the respective industries of all EPPG business units.

Knowledge
Therapeutic Area Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of the specific therapeutic area relevant to the company's products. Comprehensive knowledge of disease states, treatment modalities, and current medical practices.
Product Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the company's portfolio, including a deep understanding of product indications, mechanisms of action, and clinical trial data.
- Medical and Scientific Literature:
- Stay abreast of current medical and scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and emerging research trends within the therapeutic area.
Regulatory Landscape:
- Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines governing the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring compliance in all activities.
Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, can synthesize and communicate medical data clearly.
- Proficient in public speaking and delivering presentations, adept in engaging both large audiences and one-on-one settings.

- Strong client-facing, excellent negotiation, persuasive and interpersonal skills.
- Good medical/clinical knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques are desirable.
Experience
- At least a Pharmaceutical or Scientific Degree.
- Preferably minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison or experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Open to fresh applicants or with some working experience who are highly interested in the Medical Scientific Liaison role.
