Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the branch collections team, including workflow management and performance monitoring
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements including Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Hire Purchase Act 1967
- Manage and resolve escalated customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
- Prepare comprehensive reports on collection performance, delinquency trends, and operational metrics
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Credit, Operations, and Finance departments to improve collection processes
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or related field; Degree preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in
collections, credit management, or related roles, preferably in automotive financing or hire purchase industry - Proven supervisory experience managing teams of 3 or more staff
- Strong understanding of Malaysian financial regulations, particularly the Hire Purchase Act 1967
- Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in Mandarin or Tamil would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with financial management systems
- Outstanding problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Malaysian driving license and willingness to travel between branches when required
