It was founded by the creative thing behind the creative mind behind the phenomenally successful preschool cartoons Omar & Hana and Didi & Friends. Both cartoons have amassed more than 18 million subscribers and an incredible 8 billion views on YouTube. As a proud member of Y-Combinator (W22), Durioo+ serves as a safe streaming platform for animations and videos designed specifically for children.

Durioo+ operates on a subscription-based model. We produce, co-produce, and license entertaining, ethical, and meaningful content tailored for children. Launched in February 2022, we already boast more than 36,000 paid subscribers and host over 16,000 pieces of content on our platform and numbers are growing every month. All our content is meticulously curated to align with Islamic teachings and values.

Job Summary

We are looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in building partnerships with kindergartens and driving kindergarten and student subscriptions to Durioo+. You’ll play a key role in expanding our reach in early childhood education and ensuring long-term engagement with schools and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell Durioo+ subscriptions to kindergartens through direct outreach, presentations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Acquire and onboard new kindergartens and support them in driving student adoption.
  • Design and propose attractive pricing packages to suit various school needs.
  • Organize retention-based activities such as events, workshops, fun activities for kindergartens and students.
  • Track sales and engagement metrics, report on performance, and propose improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, content, product) to ensure a strong value proposition for kindergartens.
  • Build long-term relationships with school leaders and relevant networks in the preschool/early education space.
  • Provide input on product/content improvements based on kindergarten feedback.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales, partnerships, education, or business development (preferably in early childhood or edtech sector).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-oriented.
  • Passion for early childhood education is a plus.
  • Willing to travel to meet kindergartens (if needed).

Performance-Based Terms:

  • This is a performance-driven role with monthly and quarterly KPIs.
  • Base salary will be complemented with commission or incentives based on achievements.
