The Front-End Developer is responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimising web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties. The incumbent is required to work in teams alongside back-end developers, graphic designers, and user experience designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop visual and information solutions based on a user-centric approach, while adhering to best practices for accessibility and performance.
- Optimise user experience and conversion rates using A/B testing and other techniques.
- Collaborate closely with designers and other developers to bring their concepts to life, by translating design mockups into pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Maintain and improve existing websites and web applications, by implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimising code for better performance.
- Work with project management tools like Git and task runners like Grunt and Gulp, to manage software workflow and ensure smooth collaboration within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies, and apply them to create innovative solutions that meet business needs.
- Consult on SEO best practices and implement on-page optimization techniques.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, while adhering to coding standards and following best practices for version control and code review.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, by providing regular updates on project progress, seeking feedback, and contributing to the team's knowledge base.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in front-end/software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related fields.
- Familiarity with Laravel PHP is a plus.
- Understands Javascript.
- Able to work with CSS & Javascript Frameworks.
- Familiar with CSS Preprocessing.
- Know how to do responsive design.
- Familiar with NuxtJs, Bootstrap, Sass, Grunt and Gulp software.
- Mobile app development is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of system performance tracking and analytics.
- Have experience with Git.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum approach.
