Assistant Manager, Production is a key position in our business operations. This individual will report to Production manager, to lead and focus on delivering effective production planning, production control, quality control, method analysis, inventory control, work measurement and other critical major responsibilities, not limiting cost control, process improvement and standardization.
Production Planning
- Identify ways to enhance productivity and efficiency of the production department by utilizing system capacity and manpower in an optimum way.
- Create, update, coordinate, recommend and maintain daily reporting such as Delivery, Aged/open orders, Forecasts, Pipeline, Order Schedule, Business Updates and other specific key metrics and communication.
Production Control
- Accountable of current processes and recommend increased efficiency of the operations.
- Review and monitor production performance on a daily basis and provide a report to the management.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and achieve the desired customer satisfaction.
- Ensure fulfillment of daily, weekly and monthly production targets at acceptable quality and cost.
Quality Control
- Oversee compliance of safety regulations within the local guidelines in the overall operation of the production standard.
- Ensure that products are strictly produced according to product specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure a consistently high quality in finished goods.
Inventory Management & Control
- Exercise proper control over the inventory.
- Determine economic order size, maximum, minimum, average and danger levels of materials so that problems of overstocking and understocking do not arise. This is to minimize wastages of materials.
Production Operations
- Oversee all the operations and administration related work (invoicing, payment, logistic, stock take, office administration & etc).
- Monitor the accuracy the efficient distribution of Third-party Logistic reports and other intelligence essential to the Third-party Logistic.
- Focus on continuous improvements for a Fulfillment Services to include but not limited to Receiving, Warehousing, Pick and Pack, Shipping.
- Create, update, coordinate, recommend and maintain daily reporting such as Delivery, Aged/open orders, Forecasts, Pipeline, Order Schedule, Business Updates and other specific key metrics and communication.
Method Analysis
- Understand and identify the best method of analysis to minimize the cost of production and improve overall productivity on a regular basis.
- Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
People & Team Management
- Leads the production team to achieve KPIs and drive for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring all production resources are fully and efficiently utilized according to CompAsia production standard.
- Coach and mentor all production employees on a regular basis.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by superior.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse / operation, preferably in an MNC environment.
- Experience in Smartphone, mobile phones, phone repairing experience, CE warehousing, inventory management and distribution operations is highly preferred.
- Must have background in distribution, supply chain planning, logistics, and other operational functions.
- Excellent communication in both spoken and writing English is a must.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skill, planning skill, organizing skill and problem solving skill.
Qualification
- Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
