About the Role
- To draft, review, prepare, negotiate for execution, executing a variety of contracts, relevant forms and documents including policies, SOPs, processes and procedures on behalf of the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates in other countries and at Group level (“the Company”).
- To draw up a system of contract and document management and to manage files contracts and cosec documents for the Group. To have dedicated tracking of physical and digital backups and compliance of various regions of contracts and documentation, for including PDP and ABC requirements, research and proper knowledge management and integrity of contract management system which has to be monitored supervised and kept up to date.
- Advise clients and take legal action on landlord and tenant matters, traffic violations, name changes and other issues within their jurisdiction.
- Monitor and supervise licenses and any relations with governmental authorities in the region.
- Provide timely legal research, advice, drafting and supporting the Company's business units and departments and with special attention on contracts management and upkeep of all contracts and updating; and the same for all company secretarial documents.
- Take initiative, collaborate, and work with other departments within the Company.
- Reviewing advertising and marketing materials, web, social media and digital contents and its processes to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements.
- To liaise with the external counsel on the litigation matters
- To liaise with the company secretary on the update, retrieval of contracts
- Stay up-to-date on changes in the law and regulations that affect the Company's business and to provide counsel and advice to the Company.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as and when required and to assist the HOD to attend to assignments as instructed from time to time.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school. CLP is added value but not a pre-requisite.
- 2 to 4 years post qualification experience from a reputable law firm, with a background in corporate or commercial practice.
- Experience in Compliance and Secretarial work is advantageous
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
