We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Finance
to collaborate with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams in driving the company’s financial health and integrity. This role will contribute to the success of the business by leading daily finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team to deliver timely and insightful financial information that supports sound business decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring all journals, bank reconciliations, sub-ledger reconciliations and balance-sheet schedules are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare full-set monthly management accounts and a comparative management report (Actual vs. Budget).
- Analyze variances and provide clear explanations and corrective recommendations to management.
- Conduct rolling monthly forecasts and annual budgeting updates, maintaining a robust cash-flow management model.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department, including daily cashbook entries, AP/AR processing (invoicing, payments, receipts, statement reconciliations).
- Serve as key user/admin for the company’s ERP/accounting system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, QuickBooks), setting up new accounts, training users, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all accounting records and reports adhere to Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and internal policies.
Statutory Compliance & External Liaison
- Prepare and file all required BIR returns (VAT 2550M/Q, 1601C/F, 1701, 1702, etc.) and ensure timely remittances of withholding taxes.
- Liaise with external auditors for annual audit and with tax agents for quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies (BIR, SEC, GSIS/SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG) to ensure full compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of audited Financial Statements for SEC and BIR submission.
Team Leadership & Ad Hoc Projects
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Finance staff; assign workloads and monitor performance to meet deadlines.
- Drive process improvements, recommend best practices, and implement internal controls over financial processes.
- Lead or support special finance projects and system implementations as directed by senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. ACCA/CIMA/MIA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar finance/accounting role, preferably within a Philippine corporate environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in any widely used accounting/ERP system.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX‐MATCH, macros).
- Familiarity with PFRS, BIR regulations, and SEC reporting requirements.
- Core Competencies:

- Strong time-management skills, able to meet tight month-end and statutory deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across functions.
