Job Summary
The Senior Executive, Group Procurement will work directly with the Head, Group Procurement while assisting in sourcing for products from suppliers at lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Studies market trends, interviews vendors and recommends sources of supply. Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends for selection suppliers with whom orders are to be placed.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains a complete and detailed knowledge of all products ordered and brought in.
- Reviews requisitions, confers with suppliers to obtain information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
- Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Review all invoices received from suppliers to submit to Procurement Manager for approval.
- Maintains procurement records such as products purchased, costs, delivery, product quality and inventories.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods with inspection or quality control personnel, suppliers and others to determine sources of discrepancy.
- Follows through with supplier Corrective Action Requests.
- Expedites delivery of goods.
- Assist the team with additional projects in which require data entry/analysis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
