About the Role
As Assistant Manager, Partnership Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing CapBay's partnership and event strategies. You will manage the entire lifecycle of marketing partnerships, from initial planning and stakeholder engagement to event execution and performance tracking. This role is perfect for a strategic and charismatic leader who can build strong relationships, manage complex projects, and turn business goals into real-world experiences. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Develop annual and quarterly partnership marketing plans aligned with CapBay’s growth strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic marketing partnerships with government agencies, SME associations, corporate brands, and industry enablers.
- Create partnership propositions and co-marketing packages that deliver measurable benefits for both CapBay and its partners.
- Act as the main liaison for assigned partners, ensuring strong collaboration, timely communication, and successful delivery of joint initiatives.
- Conduct regular partner check-ins and post-event reviews to assess performance, gather feedback, and explore future opportunities.
- Lead the planning and execution of high-impact events such as industry conferences, trade shows, association roadshows, workshops, and webinars.
- Ensure all event assets (e.g., brochures, buntings, backdrops, merchandise) are up-to-date, well-stocked, and brand-compliant — proactively coordinating with the creative team for design updates and reprints.
- Continuously explore ways to enhance CapBay’s event and booth experience, including interactive elements, visitor engagement strategies, and competitive benchmarking against other exhibitors.
- Manage the event calendar and ensure timely preparation of event-related marketing materials for both on-site and online promotion.
- Serve as moderator, emcee, or brand representative during selected events as needed.
- Set and monitor KPIs for events and partnership campaigns, including attendance, engagement, lead quality, and ROI.
- Analyse results, prepare post-activity reports, and present recommendations for improvement.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and new engagement formats to inform future strategies.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of event merchandise and marketing collaterals, including stock management, replenishment, quality control, and upgrades.
- Research and propose innovative merchandise options that strengthen brand recall while staying within budget.
- Maintain inventory records, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of items for events.
- Work closely with the social media team to plan and coordinate event-related content before, during, and after activations.
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce compelling event materials, co-branded assets, and partner toolkits.
- Ensure all materials and posts follow CapBay’s brand guidelines and partnership agreements.
- Provide guidance to junior team members or interns, ensuring deliverables are met and skillsets are developed.
- Promote a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture within the marketing team.
- Coordinate with internal teams (product, PR, digital, compliance) to align activities and messaging.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in partnership marketing, event management, or brand activation, preferably in fintech, financial services, or technology.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end event planning, including collateral readiness, booth setup, merchandise management, and on-site execution.
- Strong vendor management skills and experience working with creative and content teams.
- Familiarity with marketing tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics), event platforms (Zoom, Eventbrite), and project management tools (Trello, Asana, Notion).
- Experience liaising with government agencies, industry associations, or corporate partners is an advantage.
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, or other regional languages) to enhance communication in diverse markets.
