Reporting to Title : Technical Expert – Innovation & Automation Engineer
Main Objectives and Activities:
Within the Technologies & Operations Department, you will join the Innovation & Automation team to support the exploration, implementation, and improvement of platforms and services, while contributing to the modernization of existing solutions.
Your activities will focus on:
- Engaging with internal teams to understand their needs and identify automation opportunities based on potential time savings, complexity, and business impact.
- Working with your mentor to assess possible automation approaches or new services, including the preparation of Proofs of Concept where relevant.
- Supporting project coordination with stakeholders and your mentor throughout the internship.
- Contributing to the industrialization of selected solutions for BRED-IT, including full process documentation.
- Supporting team efficiency and knowledge sharing through participation in team meetings, progress updates, and presentations.
Responsibilities/ Job Description:
- Identify automation opportunities by analyzing existing IT processes, recurring manual tasks, and operational pain points with team members and stakeholders.
- Design and develop automation prototypes using BRED-IT supported technologies such as Python and Ansible, while also exploring AI-assisted tools and market solutions where relevant.
- Support innovation and technology watch by researching, benchmarking, and presenting relevant tools, methods, and emerging technologies for IT automation.
- Document solutions and ensure handover by producing clear technical documentation, usage guidelines, and recommendations for future improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams by participating in meetings, sharing progress regularly, and presenting results, demonstrations, and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Language skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Experience and Skills Required:
- Curiosity and willingness to learn, with an interest in new technologies, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Analytical mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Autonomy and reliability, with the ability to manage assigned tasks, seek guidance when needed, and deliver work professionally.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Experience with Linux and AI-assisted development tools would be appreciated but is not mandatory.
