Job Title : Senior Associate – Business Analyst

Reporting to Title : Senior Manager - Deputy Head of Digital Banking
Responsibilities/ Job Description:
- Analyze, challenge and formalize business requirements, ensuring alignment with BRED Group standards, target operating model and mutualized solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, workflows, process maps and acceptance criteria.
- Review and validate technical specifications to ensure they properly address business requirements and operational constraints.
- Contribute to technical solution design by working closely with technical leads, architects, developers, vendors and infrastructure teams.
- Prepare and facilitate workshops, working sessions and committees with business teams, IT teams, vendors and other project stakeholders.
- Engage with business stakeholders from the bank to understand needs, pain points, operational processes and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with vendors to clarify scope, assess feasibility, obtain quotations, review proposals and follow up on delivery commitments.
- Support test strategy and test preparation, including test scenarios, test cases, acceptance criteria and expected results.
- Perform functional testing and first-level validation of delivered features before handover to QA or business users.
- Coordinate UAT, non-regression testing and defect management with QA teams, business users, vendors and development teams.
- Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for bank users, support teams and operational stakeholders.
- Contribute to change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of the new digital banking solutions by the subsidiary.
- Support project planning and delivery tracking in coordination with the Program Manager, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks and priorities.
- Monitor progress of assigned streams, escalate risks or blockers and provide clear status updates to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation of business processes, functional specifications, decisions, user guides and operational procedures.
- Ensure functional consistency across Digital Banking channels, including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Payments, onboarding, authentication, APIs and partner integrations.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization and reuse across BRED international subsidiaries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by collecting feedback, identifying lessons learned and proposing enhancements for future deployments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
Language skills:
- Excellent level in English (writing and speaking).
- Proficiency in French is a plus.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of the digital banking industry practice.
- Effective communication, presentation and relationship management skills to interact with Banks management, vendors and technical team.
- Strong project management methodology and organization (Agile). PMP / PRINCE II / Scrum master certification is a plus.
- Customer-centric mindset and business acumen.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical skills (SQL, Java) being able to speak with the development team and investigate deeply in the systems (database queries, technical logs review).
- Possesses general understanding in the areas of web development, application programming, mobile app development, database and system design
- Relevant technical and functional experience in the digital banking domain.
- Familiar with API management (REST, SOAP, XML interfaces).
- Knowledge of Core Banking systems.
