BRED IT (Thailand) Ltd.is a wholly owned subsidiary of the French bank BRED Banque Populaire based out of Paris (BPCE Group).

 

BRED IT was established in 2008 with the objective to become the IT hub for BRED Group Commercial Banks in South East Asia, Pacific Ocean, and the Horn of Africa areas.

In parallel, BRED IT has expanded its activities since 2011 to also provide remote IT services to Paris Headquarters.

 

Today, with more than 250 employees, BRED IT fully supports Banque Franco Lao in Laos, BRED Bank Cambodia, BRED Bank Vanuatu, BRED Bank Solomon Islands, BRED Bank Fiji and Banque pour le commerce et l’industrie Mer Rouge (BCIMR) in Djibouti:

BRED IT hosts and manages all layers of BRED International Banks Information Systems: From Infrastructures to Applications (Core Banking, Internet/Mobile Banking, E-Payments…), on a 24x7 basis.

 

Half of the activity is currently performed for BRED Headquarters, with a focus on Projects (built with Java, COBOL, PHP, DataStage) and Production/Devops.

Position

·        We are looking for a new head of Governance & Strategy, reporting directly to the CEO, member of BRED IT’s Management Committee, and managing a team of 2 PMOs

 

Responsibilities

·        Governance & Strategy

o   Key stakeholder of BRED IT’s strategic plan (in refining the strategy, and following the implementation of the roadmap)

o   Responsible for the development and preparation of general documentation, white papers, processes, policies and procedures

o   Coordinates the preparation of BRED IT’s various Committees (Board of Directors, Projects, Quality, Costs, Disaster Recovery)

o   Supervises BRED IT’s level 1 control plan

o   Key stakeholder in the oversight of audit missions (Internal and External).

 

·        Finance (in collaboration with the CFO)

o   Preparation and management of the budget (CAPEX/OPEX/Human means), including reforecasts

o   Ensures business activity reports are accurate, comprehensive, and analyzed (reconciliation)

 

·        PMO: Oversees the overall project portfolio (business IT & core technology projects)

o   Provides accurate, comprehensive, and prioritized overview of all projects

o   Orchestrates and supports the successful delivery of projects involving BRED IT and BRED international banks through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting

o   Acts as a reference point for PMO queries - is a source of guidance for project management methodology/governance

o   Monitors quality through various KPIs (time to market, perimeter, costs, delays, documentation etc.)

 

·        Project Management for the CEO

o   Acts as Project Manager on special projects sponsored by the CEO

 

Education

·        Master’s degree MSc. Computer Science. (mandatory)

 

Language skills

·        Fluent in English.

·        Fluent in French.

 

Experience and Skills

·        5+ years of experience in a related field

·        Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions

·        Team player, Open-minded, anticipation and speed adaptation.

·        Good & relevant technical/business background

·        Analytical skills

·        Rigor and organization skills are required, whilst working on tight deadlines

·        A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the tasks

·        Banking knowledge is a plus.

·        Initiative and creative thinking
