Key roles and responsibilities: -
1. Strategy Support
- Assist in gathering and analysing data for strategic planning and decision-making.
- Support the preparation of strategic reports, business plans and internal presentations.
- Track key industry trends, competitor activities and market developments.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather insights and updates relevant to strategy formulation.
2. Business Development Assistance
- Conduct research to identify new business opportunities, potential partners and market expansion options.
- Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks and briefing materials for meetings with external stakeholders.
- Support due diligence processes in evaluating new ventures or partnerships.
3. Financial Modelling and Analysis
- Build and maintain basic financial models under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses, project feasibility studies and investment assessments.
- Support the collection and organization of financial data from internal and external sources.
4. Administrative and Coordination Support
- Schedule and prepare materials for strategic and business development meetings.
- Assist in managing documentation, reports and updates related to ongoing strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with external consultants or partners when required.
Requirements: -
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant fields, such as Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Strategy, Economics, Corporate Finance and Accounting.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategy, business development or financial analysis (internships included). Those with oil palm industry background are an added advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking with a focus on execution and measurable results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on professionalism and clarity. Strong proofreading and presentation skills are essential.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is important for communication in Malaysia’s business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good presentation preparation and proposal paper writing.
- Ability to handle sensitive information securely and maintain confidentiality, adhering to privacy and data protection protocols.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, resourcefulness with a pleasant personality and nimble.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to work under pressure and capable to meet tight deadlines.
- Possess good health and fit to work.
- Willing to travel for work.
- Possess own transport.
