Job Description:

  1. Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, government, MICE, and leisure segments.
  2. Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  3. Lead contract negotiations, prepare proposals, and manage rate agreements.
  4. Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and property site inspections.
  5. Collaborate with the revenue and marketing teams to implement effective promotional strategies.
  6. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  7. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  8. Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong market knowledge of the Penang region and key corporate/government/MICE sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of IDB or similar hotel systems is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Willing to travel locally and attend after-hours events as required.
