Job Description:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, government, MICE, and leisure segments.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Lead contract negotiations, prepare proposals, and manage rate agreements.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and property site inspections.
- Collaborate with the revenue and marketing teams to implement effective promotional strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry exhibitions.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong market knowledge of the Penang region and key corporate/government/MICE sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of IDB or similar hotel systems is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Willing to travel locally and attend after-hours events as required.
