Job Descriptions:
- Act in the capacity of the Engineering Department representative as a troubleshooter to the guest, thereby continually working towards better guest contact and satisfaction.
- To assist the Duty Supervisor to obtain maximum control of expenditures through the effective utilization of manpower and physical asset of the Hotel.
- To maintain close inter-departmental and other department liaisons.
- Conduct periodic checks on the execution of policies and procedures, with reports to Maintenance Manager.
- Maximum care is given to the maintenance of the physical assets of the hotel and to keep them in the best possible functional state.
- To participate in training and instruct other members of staff to impart their knowledge and skills to assist them in department development.
- To ensure the repairs & maintenance and energy management plan are conducted in the most economical way.
- Ensure effective practice and enforcement of local Health & Safety regulations are met.
- To keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing daily maintenance of the hotel.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the working place assigned or the entire property to the highest level.
- Follow up all hotel work orders for maintenance to make sure that they have been carried out effectively.
- To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
- Knowledgeable on the implementation of the energy saving program.
- Knowledgeable on chemical handling procedures materials usage and maximizing the safety of the environment and in accordance with the law.
- Knowledgeable of all materials, tools, parts, and equipment related to the field of operation.
Requirements:
- Must have at least SPM or Diploma certificate
- Able to communicate in English
- Other certificates related to Engineering/Maintenance/Electrical will be an added advantage
