Job Description:
- Handle all guest billing and payment transactions accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded and balanced at the end of each shift.
- Issue receipts and ensure guest signatures are obtained as required.
- Maintain proper cash float and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Support outlet operations by providing excellent service and assisting with guest inquiries.
- Collaborate with service staff to ensure smooth and efficient billing processes.
- Prepare daily cashier reports and handover cash to the finance department as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the cashier station and ensure equipment is in working order.
- Adhere to hotel financial policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM qualification; a diploma in hospitality or related field is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Good numeracy skills and accuracy in handling cash and credit transactions.
- Pleasant personality with strong customer service skills.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are a plus.
- Honest, dependable, and able to handle work independently.
