The Assistant Maintenance Manager contributes to the overall objective of the hotel by ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of its facilities. This role exists to support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance activities, enhancing the guest experience, and maintaining the hotel's physical assets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Oversight
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of the hotel's infrastructure, including rooms, common areas, and utilities.
Staff Maintenance
- Manage and guide maintenance staff, ensuring they are adequately trained, and work is carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
Preventive Maintenance
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of assets.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and take appropriate actions to resolve issues, minimizing disruptions to hotel operations.
Budget Management
- Assist in managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.
Operational Efficiency
- By ensuring that facilities and equipment are well-maintained, minimizing downtime Safety Compliance.
- The position is accountable for maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to safety standards and regulations.
REQUIREMENT
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Knowledge of local regulations and building codes.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices and safety standards.
- Familiarity with building systems and equipment.
