Analytics Engineer

The Role

You will be embedded into Supply Chain, Fulfillment Operations, Sales and Marketing teams

where you will primarily be responsible for unblocking and optimizing decision making for

marketing and fulfillment operations through the insights that you will derive from our various

data sources.

You will be a part of the Engineering department reporting directly to the COO, however in the

early stages, you won’t have data engineers working with you or a structured data warehouse

for your analytical needs, so you will be expected to take ownership of hacking/hustling through data transformations (you will definitely have guidance in the early stages from the engineers in the company).

In this role, you can expect to

● Work with Supply Chain, Fulfillment Operations, Marketing, Sales to support, understand

and present data points related to leads and customers of our product.

● Communicate findings clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.

● Identify, setup, and manage tooling required for various processes in the team (data

pipelines, dashboarding, marketing/fulfillment/supply chain operations processes, etc).

● Work with Sales and Marketing to design and run experiments when required to improve

internal knowledge of lead and customer behaviours.

● Develop and communicate strong opinions about best practices in analytics/analytics

engineering.

You are a good fit if you

● Consider yourself a full-stack data analyst.

● Have experience storytelling your findings/insights to different stakeholders.

● Are proficient in writing code (SQL/Python/etc) in an analytics context and understand

the difference between code that works, and performant code.

● Have experience with ETL/ELT from HTTP APIs

Plus points

● Have worked on Sales or Marketing related analytics in the past.

● Have a solid understanding of data warehouses and business intelligence tools.

role isn’t for you.

● We're in the early stages of scaling, so projects and priorities are likely to shift.

● We "do things that don't scale" to unlock value before we prioritize scaling the projects,

and it might take time adjusting to that mindset (You'll likely feel frustrated if you've not

practiced this before).
