Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead and oversee our core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, strengthening internal controls, and supporting management with insightful financial analysis and forecasting.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Oversee and perform full-spectrum bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and error-free accounting reports and present findings to management.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Analyze financial data and summarize financial position, performance, and variances.
  • Identify discrepancies, recommend process improvements, and enhance cost efficiency.
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and participation in financial standards setting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to reporting timelines.
  • Assist with tax audits, tax computations, and statutory submissions.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA qualification (or pending final paper) is an added advantage.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and high level of accountability.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and standard accounting procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
