JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the FC&A department. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing reconciliations, processing relevant invoices and collaborating with business stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery in line with closing deadlines.
- Reconciliations of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts to ensure proper substantiation and validity.
- Maintain the chart of accounts, cost centre structure and report templates in SAP
- Purchase Order (PO) Buyer for FC&A Department.
- Coordinates the budget process and updating approved budget numbers in SAP
- Identify opportunities to improve GL administration processes and participate in improvement and development projects.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholder (e.g. external auditors).
- Provide support for various ad hoc tasks as needed.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Professional qualification in Accountancy is preferred
- 5 years and above accounting experience, including at least 1-2 years in financial review and controlling.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial close processes, financial report, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP is required.
- Experience in SAP Report Painter is advantageous.
- Meticulous with strong analytical skills to ensure accurate review and reporting.
