THE ROLE
We are looking for a Head of Sales who is ready to build the revenue function of a purpose-driven education company from the ground up.
We will be transparent: you are not walking into a large, established sales team. Today, we have a small team of 2 sales staff focused on our flagship foundation program. Your mandate is to assess what we have, develop the team based on performance, and build the sales capability that matches our ambition across all programs.
This is a builder’s role. The right person sees that as an opportunity, not a gap. You will have direct access to the CEO, full visibility into the business, and the authority to shape how Beyond Insights sells.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
In the near term
• Assess the current team’s capability and performance honestly
• Establish a clear sales process and performance framework across the existing team
• Drive enrollment results for our foundation program (VTP) as the primary revenue line
• Work closely with the CEO to understand the full program portfolio and develop
a phased sales strategy
As you grow the function
• Develop and manage sales strategies across all program lines, including
advanced and mastery programs
• Hire and develop sales team members based on performance needs and program
expansion
• Build the systems, coaching frameworks, and accountability structures that
allow the team to scale
• Work in close alignment with marketing to ensure lead quality and conversion
are optimised end to end
• Report to the CEO with clear, honest visibility into pipeline health, conversion
rates, and team development
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Non-negotiable
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead
capacity
• Proven track record of owning and hitting revenue targets, with specifics you can speak
to
• Experience building or developing a sales team, not just managing an established one
• Strong coaching instinct: you develop people based on honest performance
assessment, not loyalty or comfort
• Absolute integrity: our brand is built on trust, and this role is the frontline of it
• Comfortable being held to measurable outcomes and holding others to the same
standard
B2C Background Required
This role requires direct B2C sales experience. We are not looking for B2B or enterprise sales
backgrounds. The right candidate has sold directly to individual buyers making high-consideration, personally meaningful decisions about their own growth, finances, or future.
The closest fit backgrounds include:
• Education, training, or professional development programs
• Financial services or wealth management (retail, not institutional)
• Insurance or unit trust advisory
• Coaching, wellness, or personal transformation programs
• High-consideration consumer products requiring trust and advisory-style selling
What these environments share: the buyer is an individual, the decision is personal, and the sale is built on trust and conviction, not procurement cycles or committee approval.
Strongly Preferred
• Experience taking over or reshaping an early-stage sales team
• Familiarity with consultative or values-based selling, not transactional or high-pressure
tactics
• Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where structure does not
yet exist
