No quantum background? That's fine. Bring the practical skills; you'll learn the rest on the job.
The Role
Before a quantum sensor reaches the field, somebody has to make the parts, assemble the hardware and keep the lab ready for the next build. That is where you come in.
You will work hands-on with machining, 3D printing, mechanical assembly and prototyping, supporting engineers and physicists as designs become physical systems. Prior quantum-technology experience is not required. Practical skill, care and willingness to learn matter more.
Technical Context
We cool atoms with lasers to near absolute zero to measure tiny changes in gravity. Yes, really. The challenge is taking that level of precision beyond the lab and making it work reliably in real-world conditions.
What You Will Do
- Machine, 3D-print, assemble, rework and prototype mechanical parts for sensing hardware.
- Support integration, testing and troubleshooting alongside engineers and physicists.
- Maintain tools, lab spaces, inventory and basic workshop readiness so builds can move without unnecessary delays.
- Prepare sensors and equipment for installation, packing and field-survey work.
- Build your technical capability through hands-on work and relevant company-supported training.
What We Are Looking For
- ITE Nitec / Higher Nitec, Polytechnic Diploma or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Hands-on experience with machining, workshop tools, assembly or 3D printing.
- Ability to read simple drawings, follow technical instructions and use basic measuring tools.
- Care for safety, cleanliness and the quality of the physical work you produce.
Even Better If
- Soldering experience.
- Basic electronics or optics knowledge.
- Experience preparing equipment for field or site work.
Working at Atomionics
Subsurface intelligence takes more than one discipline. People bring different expertise to the same problem, and what happens in one part of the system shapes the next. The roles are different, but the goal is shared: make subsurface intelligence useful where it matters.
Location + Work Model
- Location: Singapore.
- Work arrangement: On-site.
Build the technology that maps what no one else can see.
APPLYAbout the Company
Atomionics PTE. LTD.
The world is blind underground and underwater. Atomionics is giving it sight. We’re building a 3D map of the Earth’s subsurface to pinpoint critical minerals and other resources. Quantum sensors collect data no one else can. AI makes sense of it. Together, they are building towards our Large Planet Model: a clearer way to understand what lies beneath. The same sensors enable navigation where GPS can’t reach.
