We are looking for a Product Developer who is organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about bringing products to life from concept to delivery. What You'll Do
- Manage and plan the timeline and critical path of all phases of the product life cycle including: initiation, planning, execution, and closing Work across various business units to document, optimize, automate, and simplify processes
- Create product development plans including scope, schedule, critical path, milestones, and risk assessment
- Accountable for tracking statuses across all phases of the product life cycle
- Identify issues, facilitate resolution, and make necessary adjustments to plans
- Establish and set up monitoring and reporting processes across various business units
- Proactively communicate project status updates within core team, Merchandising team, Marketing team, and senior management
- Assist teams in developing effective business cases / files for new projects
- Collect and translate data into actionable insights
- Prepare or automate the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and ad-hoc reports to ensure timely updates of product development statuses
- Ensure design, product development, and merchandising teams are all aware of their respective timelines, deliverables and milestones
- Make recommendations based on past performance & predict trends
- Ensure product lifecycle management software is being utilized and that data is kept up to date and organized
- Participate in continuous learning and skill development, staying updated with industry trends and adapting your approach to changing market demands
- Any other tasks as required by the product development team
Who You Are
- Diploma or degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a Jewellery-related field is highly preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product development or project management, ideally within jewelry, accessories, or fashion
- Proven ability to run a category or product line with minimal oversight
- Genuine resonance with Ask & Embla, with a clear understanding of our aesthetic, values, and the community we serve
- Experience working with suppliers strongly preferred, you understand how to manage timelines and communication across production partners
- Proactive and outgoing personality with a positive and solutions oriented mentality, you will be speaking to and coordinating with suppliers regularly
- Thick-skinned and comfortable making requests under tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Team-player mindset, ready to help in different parts of the team
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across creative, merchandising, marketing, and operations
- Data-savvy and tech-savvy, quick to adopt new tools and AI-native in how you think and operate
- Proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders informed without being asked
