As our Videographer and Video Editor, you will bring Ask & Embla’s brand and products to life through visually compelling content across multiple platforms. Beyond editing, you will also plan and capture high-quality video footage during product shoots, lifestyle shoots, and campaign productions. You will transform raw footage into polished, engaging videos for campaigns, product features, social media, and digital marketing, ensuring every piece is on-brand and optimized for performance. Collaborating closely with creative, marketing, and product teams, you will craft dynamic stories that capture attention, showcase jewelry details, and strengthen our visual identity.
What You'll Do:
Video Production (Videographer Responsibilities)
- Capture high-quality video content during studio and lifestyle shoots, including:
- Product close-ups and macro jewelry footage
- Model shoots and creative campaign scenes
- Social media content (vertical format, run-and-gun shooting, BTS documentation)
- Work with the Sr. Art Director to plan shot lists, storyboard simple sequences, and understand the creative direction before each shoot.
- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and basic audio equipment.
- Ensure all raw footage is stable, well-lit, and visually aligned with Ask & Embla’s brand aesthetic.
- Coordinate with product, branding, and creative teams to ensure all required shots are captured efficiently during shoots.
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit high-quality video content for various Ask & Embla marketing initiatives, including:
- Product highlights for website and product pages
- Promotional videos for new collections and seasonal campaigns
- Social media content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Email marketing and homepage hero videos
- Transform raw footage into polished, engaging, and brand-consistent videos.
- Incorporate music, clean audio, sound effects, text overlays, motion graphics, and light VFX.
- Perform meticulous color correction and grading to ensure accurate jewelry representation.
- Optimize video length, compression, format, and resolution for each platform.
- Manage video assets and maintain an organized archive with proper naming conventions.
- Ensure all output aligns with brand voice, visual standards, and campaign goals.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience as both a Video Editor and Videographer, ideally with work in e-commerce, beauty, fashion, or luxury brands.
- Strong hands-on experience operating cameras, lighting setups, and basic audio equipment.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Strong storytelling instincts and editing sense for short-form and high-impact marketing videos.
- Exceptional eye for aesthetics, composition, and product-focused details.
- Skilled in color correction and grading with consistency across shots.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with motion graphics and animation (e.g., Adobe After Effects) to create engaging titles, lower thirds, and product animations.
- Familiarity with photography principles and how they relate to video.
- Passion for jewelry, fashion, or luxury goods.
