Ask & Embla is looking for a Quality Control Specialist based in Dongguan who will be working with our Quality Assurance Lead and the Inbounding department. You will ensure that all products being inbounded meet the quality standards that we have set for each style and each product category. You will also be tracking all issues, and working with our suppliers to fix outstanding quality issues on existing and new products. Your role is critical in ensuring that our customers have the best possible experience with our jewelry, and a meticulous and keen eye for details will be required for this role.


What You'll Do:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of packaging, components, and finished jewelry pieces, adhering to strict quality standards and specifications.
  • Work with the Singapore team to communicate any concerns with regards to quality of materials and finished goods.
  • Liaise with factories to follow-through on timelines and production schedules.
  • Work with third party material testing agencies to assess metal composition, plating, and durability.
  • Identify and document any quality issues, working with the Product Development team, suppliers, and production stakeholders to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with jewelry designers to ensure product designs meet quality requirements and are manufacturable.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections and quality control activities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and quality control best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality control SOPs.


Who You Are:

  • Possess over 5 years of experience in the field of jewelry or jewelry quality work, with a specific focus on more than 2 years as a quality supervisor.
  • Have a good understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes and materials, including different metals and finishes.
  • Proficient in utilizing various quality control tools and equipment, such as loupes, calipers, and gauges.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying even the smallest imperfections.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality excellence.
  • Good with software - Excel, word, and project management tools
  • Able to read and write English fluently, able to have basic communication in English.
