Maintenance Technician

1. Responsible for keeping the facility operating safely and conducting minor repairs when they are discovered.
2. Performing emergency repairs and routine maintenance around the facility.
3. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
4. Repairing damaged electrical wiring.
5. Identifying and fixing potential safety hazards within the facility.
6. Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
7. Ensuring all site equipment and facility, including water supply, water treatment, roofing and others are maintained and kept in good condition by evaluation of breakdowns, internal repairs or coordinate repairs/servicing contractors. 
8. Supporting external contractors during installation, service and repairs of equipment and machinery.
9. Supporting the production department by maintaining production equipment and coordinating with repair/servicing contractors.
10. Ensuring all fire fighting equipment is in good condition and in compliance with rules and regulations of the relevant authority.
11. Ensuring adequate quantity of spare parts and tools on site and its safekeeping.
12. Ensuring all necessary regulatory documents are up to date (Suruhanjaya Tenaga, PMT, PMA, Bomba and others)
13. Maintaining the landscaping of the facility. 

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or SPM or its equivalent.

At least 3 years experience in:

• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Groundskeeping of the facility
• Dealing with various government bodies/authorities is a bonus

Key competencies:

• Possess a valid Driver’s license
• Has good interpersonal skills in managing external contractors and interacting with all other departments.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
• Able to write short reports on repairs and other maintenance related issues.
