Responsibilities
- Market Research & Product Ideation – research and closely monitor market trends and competitors to identify new product opportunities, create businesses cases and process to commercialization;
- Product Development - improve existing products and develop new products according to the Company’s branding & growth strategies and market positioning, using criteria such as nutrition profile, taste & texture, costing, process effectiveness and shelf-life;
- Cross-functional team alignment – hold regular status meetings and work with the cross-functional teams to create project plans to track and report on the progress of project activities and schedules (Finance, Production, Procurement, Marketing, etc.);
- Product Quality Control - guide, train and monitor the Production Team to ensure that goods produced are of the highest standard & quality, including working with the Head of Production to develop essential standard operating procedures for all products;
- Strategic Sourcing – work closely with the procurement & sourcing team to identify quality, reliable, cos efficient suppliers of key ingredients for the Company;
- Marketing Content – support marketing team to produce food-related creative content for marketing and advertising purposes e.g. photography, eBooks, videos, blogs, workshops & demonstrations;
- Product Certification & Export – work with stakeholders such as ingredient and food equipment suppliers, food technology institutions and industry & regulatory bodies to ensure that Company products receive the relevant food & import certifications as determined by the relevant import countries;
- Other – any other projects and tasks as reasonably required by the Company.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree for example Food Science, Culinary or Food Technology.
- Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG or food related businesses.
- Experienced product developer in project management and innovation.
- Experience with baking related products will be an added advantage.
- Shows clear understanding of process flow between supply chain, marketing and production for a food production industry.
- Experienced product developer in project management and innovation.
- Savvy in translating technical knowledge into relevant selling stories that resonate with the non-technical person and targeted operator.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with efficient deliveries.
- Agile is the keyword here.
- Interest and knowledge in nutrition related fields is a plus.
