The Associate Commercial Unit Director is responsible for the end-to-end performance of the Brands/Labs unit, driving business growth for key brand partners across major e-commerce and digital platforms. This role serves as a strategic partner and commercial driver — overseeing account operations, ensuring profitability, and building long-term brand relationships.
You will work closely with the Head of Commercial and Country Head to identify opportunities, develop growth strategies, and optimize internal processes.
You will also lead a team of Digital Brand Managers, guiding them in daily operations to achieve total unit growth and performance targets. You are responsible for coaching and developing the team to enhance their strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and business acumen, ensuring consistent growth across assigned portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business performance to identify key areas for improvement and new business opportunities.
- Identify risks and opportunities across brand portfolios, providing actionable recommendations to drive sales and profitability.
- Work with the Head of Commercial to translate business strategies into clear, executable brand and commercial plans.
- Manage the overall financial performance of the business unit, including profit and loss of accountability.
- Build, manage, and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders — including internal teams, brand partners, marketplaces, and social platforms.
- Serve as a problem-solving partner in complex brand or platform issues, escalating and aligning with the Head of Commercial when necessary.
- Share best practices, market insights, and performance updates to drive consistency and excellence across the commercial team.
- Lead and develop a high-performance team to achieve brand and business objectives.
- Coach and guide Digital Brand Managers in brand relationship management, commercial negotiation, and account operations.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to strengthen team capabilities in data analysis, business storytelling, and strategic planning.
- Review and challenge commercial and marketing plans to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
- 6–8+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Brand Commercial, or E-commerce management.
- Proven track record of managing multi-brand portfolios and achieving commercial targets.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills and ability to train and develop team members
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Up to date on industry trends and consumer behaviors and industry trends
- Exposure in supply chain and operations (inventory management)
- Create and implement communication strategies (marketing and livestream comms)
- Understanding of online marketing strategies (CPAS, Onsite, SEO, social media)
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic actions.
- Familiarity with e-commerce marketplaces, digital media, and online shopper behavior.
