The Senior Demand & Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution channels to provide a positive customer experience and maximize sales opportunities. He/she will lead the planning process from end-to-end including Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Sourcing. To succeed in this role, he/she must be able to analyze data and processes, find creative solutions, and effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develops demand plans for multiple time horizons and distribution channels
- Reviews historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results based on sales, inventory and other data
- Maintains forecast accuracy by collaborating with the cross-functional team to gather updated sales and marketing information, especially for events that significantly affect demand such as promotions and supplier stock issues
- Build the forecast using historic base sales, trends and work with the commercial team.
- Create, Review, identify, and implement continuous improvement plans for Standard & Operating Procedures of the company.
- Improve forecast accuracy and review the output of the Demand and Supply Planner
- Provide sound advice to stakeholders based on gathered date by making them understand forecast vs actual performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary inventory needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
- Monitors and corrects inventory levels across warehouses to maintain the optimum quantity and mix of inventory and maximize working capital
- Leads replenishment planning ensure that inventory is in the right quantities and assortment across various locations to meet the demand
- Collaborates with the supply chain teams of brand partners to ensure timely replenishment, taking into account the different ordering processes for each brand
- Conducts monthly reviews with management to communicate forecast and inventory estimations, report on forecast and inventory accuracy, and propose improvement solutions.
- Supports management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Capability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to conduct detailed procedures with a high level of execution
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
