Job Profile: Process Engineering Technician

Reports To: Process Engineering Manager
Job Summary
As a Process Technician, you will be the first responder on the production line and play a critical role in maintaining process stability and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all line issues immediately as the first person to attend highlighted line defects and downtime losses to minimize impact on production.
- Help compile data for improvement projects and monitor daily line conditions; report any abnormalities to engineers or management immediately.
- Monitor daily stamping operations to maintain process consistency and quality.
- Minimize downtime through quick response to equipment or tooling problems.
- Provide timely feedback to engineers on process or tooling performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Diploma or Degree in any engineering or technical field (PMR/SPM/STPM holders with relevant experience may be considered).
- Experience: 2 years of working experience in manufacturing/production environment (fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome to apply).
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge (able to create charts, reports, and presentations).
- Experience in process control and process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, etc. will be an advantage).
- Good observation skills and ability to respond quickly to line issues.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and perform shift work if required.
