Job Summary
A Facilities Executive is responsible for planning, managing, and improving maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, building facilities, and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment and facility systems.
- Manage the maintenance of utilities such as electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, water supply, chillers, boilers, and fire protection systems.
- Analyze equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor equipment performance and develop strategies to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to production operations.
- Lead equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, and facility improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Procurement teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and according to standards.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, SOPs, and documentation.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and performance metrics for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and predictive maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in maintenance engineering or facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems, CMMS software, and project management is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or reliability engineering is an advantage.
