Job Summary
The Assistant Manager of Automation plays a crucial role in overseeing automated processes and systems within the organization. This position involves managing teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Assist in leading and mentoring a team of automation engineers and programmers to achieve project goals.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with project managers to plan, execute, and monitor automation projects, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes to identify areas for automation and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise in automation tools and technologies, supporting team members in troubleshooting and optimizing solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to ensure alignment and support for automation initiatives.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation efforts and report findings to senior management.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that automation processes comply with industry standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in automation, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation frameworks (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere), programming languages (e.g., Python, Java), and project management tools.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on collaboration and development.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
