Network Security Engineer L2

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer L2 who would like to grow with us, clearly defined by three things:

As a Network Security Engineer L2, you will have a chance to:

• Handle escalated network support requests from Level 1 Service Desk
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security
• Monitor, track, and communicate the status of support requests
• Provide guidance and training to Level 1 Service Desk team members including knowledge sharing, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to help develop Service Desk team member's skills
• Assist in the resolution of complex service desk tickets and incidents
• Manage and oversee the escalation process for critical network and security issues to vendors and principals
• Maintain strong communication channels with vendors to facilitate efficient issue resolution
• Ensure timely follow-up and closure of escalated cases

We are looking for an individual with:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate from a recognized institution, preferably in IT/Information Systems/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering
• In depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VLANs
• Experience of network configuration and troubleshooting, including routing, switching and wireless
• Understanding of network security technologies like firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems
• Familiarity of network designs principles and best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills and documentation skills for network configurations and troubleshooting procedures
• Good collaboration and teamwork attitude to work with other IT teams and vendors
