Cargo Superintendent - US

We are seeking an experienced individual to join the busy Engineering Department in our office in Houston, TX as a Cargo Superintendent. The award-winning team you would be working with comprises some of the sector’s finest professionals and has been delivering multipurpose shipping solutions for over 25 years.


In this role you would oversee our vessel loading and discharge operations in ports in the Persian Gulf and India. You are actively involved in the preparation of stowage, lifting and lashing plans and ensure 100% safe operations at all times. To excel in this role you have at least 5 years of experience in heavy lift operations and preferably 1-2 years in the same role.



Your main duties:

  • Responsible for cargo quality issues (damage prevention), stowage planning and monitoring vessel’s performance
  • Supervise load and discharge operations. Heavy lift know-how and experience
  • Provide technical advice and support to the commercial team
  • Attend operations and technical meetings with customers
  • The position is based in Houston (USA) but requires overseas travel if needed


Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with vessel operations, ideally with 1-2 years ashore
  • Computer literate preferable with AutoCAD and standard Office software
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential
